the process that makes thoughts about yourself is not different from the processes that make thoughts about things other than you.

what is your judgement on the above statement?

Not true Katia darling :) Object of attention differs. If you were to write the two processes, as procedures, one would involve the instruction to direct attention on oneself, and the other would involve the instruction to direct attention elsewhere. So, ...is not different from... in your question is false.
