Title: HRT Diet?
Post by: IhazAcc0unt on September 07, 2015, 08:01:27 PM
Hiya there peoples  :D

I need help with dieting and exercise. So I will be starting HRT (MtF) in a couple months and I was wondering what sort of dieting should I do to get the best results? I am currently 16 and weigh 130 lbs. What should I do before and during HRT for maximum feminization? Thank ya!

Basically a healthy diet with lots of veggies and lean meat. Avoid sugary drinks and snacks. Exercise regularly, walking and swimming are good forms of exercise.

It is easier to lose weight prior to HRT than after so if you need to lose weight start now, your BMI is more important than your weight, but treat the calculation with caution.

Since you're 16, as long as you avoid sugary foods or ones laden with too many simple carbs, stay active and you'll be fine. It really depends on your height and level of activity to determine the amount of calories you need every day, but there are calculators that you can find on the internet for those types of calculations. E.G.: I'm close to 5'10" and 165lbs, in order for me to lose about 1-2 lbs a week I need to restrict my diet to 1200ish calories, and to gain 1-2 lbs a week I need to eat close to 2000 calories per day, at 1500-1600 net calories per day I'll stay at the same weight each week.

If you feel you are at a comfortable weight now, then figure out your calculations and allow yourself to gain and lose a few lbs each month, and it should help with the fat redistribution while on HRT. Stay healthy and active, and HRT will do amazing things for you since you're starting so early.

More detail on BMI. I am 6'2" and my healthy weight is between 140 and 190 pounds. When I first started seeking treatment, I was at 140 pounds but with HRT my best weight was 165 to 170 pounds. Without knowing your hight at 130 pounds you could be under weight and a diet would be a bad idea. In addition, I didn't have any muscles but if you are muscular, the healthy weights move up a bit.

I think your diet is going to have no impact on feminisation. Certainly having a bit of weight can give you added padding for your curves and face but that will more or less happen on it's own regardless. Otherwise as long as you are not deprived of anything what you eat is going to make no difference to the outcome.

Sit back, eat some crisps and hope your boobs don't hurt too much in the coming months! Good luck!

Stay healthy, take care of your teeth, and exercise every day. Burn the calories you eat. You may want to develop muscles in certain areas... or not. Some of us let our male muscles atrophy by not using them. That helped a lot for me. My exercise is walking and hiking. That gives me all I need to keep my weight stable and not give me icky male muscles.... that is if I could ever develop them again. I'm not sure if they would.
