Title: First appointment with Planned Parenthood
Post by: Alexander_Reese on September 09, 2015, 06:19:01 PM
I have my first appointment with Planned Parenthood in a few days. I know that I am getting my blood work that day along with filling out all the paperwork. Is it possible that I would be able to get my first shot that day? Also, what else should I expect to have to do that day while I am there?

I also went through planned parenthood. I walked out of my first appointment with a prescription for testosterone, which was sent to Stroheckers Pharmacy. I got my prescription in the mail a couple days later. Your Planned Parenthood location may be different, but I don't think they keep testosterone in stock to be able to administer the shot that day for you.

I went back through my posts and found one I made about my experience with Planned parenthood.. Here's the link if you'd like to view it

I also went through planned parenthood and my doctor required me to wait for bloodwork to come back. For me with some issues with the blood draw and ridiculous wait from labcorp meant I got my prescription a month later. For most guys I think it's a week or two max.
I have an entire section on my blog dedicated to planned parenthood related parts of my transition (gonna be honest a lot of it is negative): http://rubysharingan.tumblr.com/tagged/planned_parenthood_hormones (http://rubysharingan.tumblr.com/tagged/planned_parenthood_hormones)
Since my last post there I HAVE gotten my dose sorted out but I'm still hunting for a new doctor at school in Georgia. I have a friend on the wait list for a supposedly great local doctor and if that doesn't work out for her then I and several friends will trip up to the Atlanta Women's Health Center (I think that's what it's called?) instead.
