I've never worn a hat other than a stocking cap in winter. I've been seeing some girls wearing those straw hats like Brittany . Anyone into big hats.
Maybe I should try one for Melbourne Cup Day?

Seems a bit silly to wear a hat over my wig, but if I see something nice (and big enough for my noggin) then I'll get it. Sun protection wise the wig is great, I now have tan lines on my head!!

if that's candy I'll take one
this is nice
I didn't wear hats much during my youth, but then various jobs required me to wear various types of hats and I kinda got use to it
These days I mainly wear a hat when I go outside and gladly take it off when I get home
my problem is that I wear stocking hats for the winter and it never fails I lose them
Definitely this is obviously the work of disenfranchised Santa's elves who also work part time at the Keebler Co.
My advise is to go shopping for a new stocking cap and also purchase a few backups just in case
Guard them with your life
Hugs
I'll have to buy a safe and a GPS locator device for each hat.and possibly a security camera . those elves can be tricky.
I just don't see much that I like in the way of ladies' hats. *shrug*
I tend to wear baseball style caps. I've tried a bunch of others but they don't look as good on me. I have flowing curly hair that I really love, but it's thin on the top. I have a few feminine hats that I wear from time to time. When I'm going to be indoors, I wear a wig, but breeze will turn my wig into a mop in no time, so I find myself wearing hats.
I am still doing face laser, so over summer I do wear straw hat. Also the spf 50.
That is not by choice. What I like to wear is like Russian 'Ushanka', very nice winter wear. Just tested mine yesterday, not sure if I can share the photo when posting from phone.
I've always been admonished for my lack of hat wearing, burning of the bean and skin cancer risk. Never much cared for them. A lot has to do with my very wide peripheral vision. Same reason I hate wearing glasses.
Like Grace, I now find a wig is far superior to hats. Just that tan line problem is a bit more problematic in my part time life
I love hats and hairbands! Have a ton. I also like fascinators with some cat eye glasses. The large floppy hats for the beach with some Jackie O glasses, or a bandana to keep my hair out of the gloss. Large hats are great because I my skin hates the sun. I had skin cancer when I was younger... from then on Mom made me cover up 24/7. It's a habit that stuck with me over the years. With the larger brim hats I can show a bit of skin and not be directly in the sun.
I avoid hats like they are a plague. When I wear them my thick wavy hair gets this kink in the most obnoxious place. But give me a fascinator or a cute hairtie anyday. Love them.
A baseball cap worn backwards with a ponytail used to be my part of my old "uniform". I don't miss them at all. The last time I wore a hat, it was part of a Halloween pirate wench costume.
