Anyone want to share? [emoji18]
When my dysphoria hits I need to do activities that make me feel feminine. Some of them are:
Facials
Oil Massage
Leg waxing
Shopping
Hair wash and style blow dry
Going for a professional make up
A night on the town a hot dress and in heels
My feminine side just blossoms..........
Occasionally I have a night in to take care of my nails, have a calming bath, do some body hair removal upkeep, and curl up with a book or Netflix and some wine. And my mom and I share pictures of our mani/pedis after getting them when I'm at school.
Hugs,
- Katie

Watching emotional movies, videos, etc. Things that tug at my heart in a tender way.
Aha's "Take On Me" video always touches me.
When I feel that my body becomes skinny. :o

.... things that make you feel feminine
I don't know if it would be "the most feminine" but certainly the most womanly, 100% natural female, but being with a man when things get hot and heavy. ;D But I guess that is the most basic, instinctive, and earthy part of being a woman.
Estrogen. :)
Let's see... cute underwear, hot guys, sexy lingerie, burying my face into the chest of a cute guy and purring... this is starting to feel like a FetLife list... being recognized as female, estrogen feels, holding my breasts, cute outfits, guy crushes, musics like Frenté, Sia, and the Julie Ruin; my lovely chosen sister, emails from Henry Rollins...
A few weeks ago, the family I work for wanted help detailing their car. I was lost. I'd never detailed a car before! I told this to the woman I work for, and she says, "You've never detailed a car? You ARE a girl!"
Wonderful ideas! Now I have new things to try ;)
What makes me feel feminine:
The wind blowing against my soft skin,
wearing cute bracelets, making myself look very pretty when I go out,
when my man pulls me in for a kiss :) *sigh*
Smiling, being happy, cherishing my body.

I understand this too!
The past few days I've felt like my estrogen levels are way up there. Got me fantasizing about guys almost exclusively. It's a nice feeling. :)
What I just said is heteronormative. Not a nice feeling. :(
For me sometimes it's just laying on the couch being caressed and getting kissed on the forehead right before losing ability stay awake and just pass out lol happened watching the Broncos game last night missed the end of the game
Wearing nice clothes, makeup and just being a woman☺️
Walking around outdoors in a bikini and short shorts in the summer time.
I come here and read your post. :eusa_dance:
For me it's just being my feminine self everyday and being a grandma and a lady.
Hitting the clearance rack at Target then to the make up aisle for my eyelashes
Dressing up. I know I'm nowhere near passing, but it makes me feel like I will someday.
Well I guess I will go all out.
- Wearing the correct underwear (even just briefs / panties etc (such a bad name :P) is much better than the boxers I used to wear.
- Sitting down when you pee! I know this may sound silly, but if you do it standing up, it's quite a guy thing to do of course, if you take the time to sit down etc, just makes me feel a bit more girly? Kinda dumb I guess xD
- Buying makeup in public and not caring who sees
- Putting on a little makeup, such as concealer etc
- Full body shave / wax, if like me you can't afford the laser stuff! nothing better than a clean shaven face / body to make me feel great!
- Cuddly toys and more feminine bed wear / clothes etc, more brightly coloured.
- And most importantly, knowing that I am a girl, through and through ;D
Things that make me feel feminine is when I think about what life would be like as a woman or dressing up in female clothes that help me escape the boredom that I sometimes feel as a man. I love just web surfing online and window shopping for clothes that I think would look good on me that would make me feel completely feminine. Even reading books about transgender woman and the lives that people have to go through really make me feel feminine and girly which is such a great feeling. I guess I am not even on the plateau of most here since if you look at my picture I am still totally all male but I wish I wasn't.
talking about boys with my mom :)
wearing a bikini in the summer
getting complimented on my makeup :D
and getting my nails done
- Dangly Earrings.
- High-heeled shoes that let me really swing my hips when I walk.
- Tucking things away with some tight panties and wearing snug fitting pants/shorts over them for that smooth look.
- Pulling the girls together with a sticky-bra to help create cleavage where there is otherwise none, lol.
- Ohhh, mmm, waist cinchers or corsets...

Talking about boys with my mom and sisters!
I thought of some other things that make me feel feminine, but in an indirect way:
* Not getting picked to do a physically demanding task or chore.
* No longer being invited to hang out with the guys when our family gets together
* knowing that I'm not strong enough to protect myself; feeling fragile
Relaxing. Looking at shoes and clothes online. Collecting patterns and materials for those someday dress projects. Daydreaming about crushes. Having my living space clean and pleasant smelling. Lace curtains. Connecting on an emotional level with other people. Being skinny (haven't been that for a few years). Candles, baths. You know, the usual stuff.
Honestly for me it's simply any time I feel like I want to express my self, or when I feel like I'm expressing my self. It could be something as unrelated like putting a poster up in my room or office of a movie or game I like.

Very nice! These activities are ' happy place' material :-)

Yeah but don't some of the things you experience make you feel more feminine than the rest??
my undergarments
enjoying scented candles
shopping for clothes and going into the women's changing rooms
and most especially being included by other women as one of the girls

Yes! That is such a wonderful and safe place to be, in the company of other accepting women :-)

Shaving my legs. I'm not out to anyone yet, but one of the first things I did after accepting that I was trans was to shave/trim my body hair. It's now a month later and shaving my legs has become a sort of Zen/meditative activity for me.

Yes. Today I searched for such a place while running outdoors, but it was difficult to find one because here is too much crowded or there seemed to be various insects if I see some quiet places. I need to tan my buttocks. Hopefully I can find one near the beach. ;D

Shoes and lots of them. I love high heels and boots!
Lately when I see another female and I feel her vibrations and a wave of emotion goes through me as I identify with her. I wear padded bras all the time for the past seven years so it feels like I have real phantom breasts. I have pushed my penis straight back in so is has reduced itself inside. Occasionally, my testicles are pulled up so it feels like I am wearing a feminine pad which I have in the past. Every day I feel more and more effeminate.
The other thing that I have done for the past 16 years is to take digital pictures of my feminine self and use them on my computer as wallpaper and screensaver pictures. I see myself differently depending upon the mood I am, but I have built up a positive feminine image of myself erasing my dyke picture of myself I had in my mind for the first 53 years of my life. I had real long hair way down to my behind for 11 years while I was identifying as a dyke.

Always a nice feeling if you can get away with it.
Also wearing Great underwear
Going shopping in the girly section
Getting shot of the body hair
Those all work for me.

Last night I watched my Cubbies win the National League Division Series over the Cardinals; I cried I was so happy. A good cry (which I do often-not out of sadness but simply because emotions) just puts me at ease. I always think of my mom and all the Cubs games we went to when I was little, especially last night. I was looking at her picture when we got the last out - it was one of the last ones that we took together. This was at a minor league game in which I sung the National Anthem.
Shopping for clothes with my wife is a blast, along with a girls night out with some of her friends. I guess just being me has the biggest and most positive effect.
Skylar, I had to laugh when I read your post about sitting and peeing. As some of you may know, I'm the patrol supervisor for a police department down here in southern Alabama. What a pain in the butt for me to sit and pee. I have to take off six belt keepers, then my duty belt, then hit the bathroom with gun in hand. Fortunately, I have my own office so I can unload all my gear in there. Then I have to put it all back on.
I love it! lol
Y'all be safe :o)

Yes. A merit of wearing skirt is that it is far easier to pee in the bathroom. Yesterday I wore trousers in a long time and just realized how much it is bothersome to take off them.

All the usual things. Heels, skirts, makeup, curling my hair, etc. I don't usually feel very masculine nowadays though
Such a fun topic ;D
- Cute pair of undies
- Listening to dance music (Zedd, Avicii, and Ellie Goulding (girl crush :icon_love:))
- Curling up on the couch (just a t-shirt and panties), and window shopping online
- Being able to just be me
Just to list a few ;)

At the top of my list would have to be when I had my mammogram at the women's health center of a hospital. Also, besides shaving the legs and arm pits, would be letting my nails grow long, shaping them, then applying clear nail polish to them. They still shine when using a matte finish. Acetone works great as a remover, then re-apply. And, of course, bra and panties.
Hmmm let see...
Cute tight dress, something that shows curves.
Cute pair of heels
Doing my makeup, hair
Bubble bath and shaving my legs
Soft music, candlelight and wine
Cute nightgown
Mani and pedi
Sometime just painting my nail plunges me deep into my feminine persona. I love it!!
Being accepted

Being viewed and treated as a lady.
Wearing a dress.
Being able to live life as a lady.
:)
- Doing my hair
- Applying foundation
- Applying lotion
- Using lady gendered products
- Wearing really short shorts, loose XXL shirts that cover up down to my mid-thighs, colorful clothing etc.
- Picking the female character in a RPG.
I also love to make myself feel smaller. Sitting in certain feminine ways, playing with my hair and even just posing in a soft-looking way.
Feeling tidy and clean is great too. Even having something sweet every once in a while helps me feel more feminine!
Makeup, long hair, my breasts, and my bras and panties.
I was off work Friday and alone in the house. (I'm still very much in the closet about this). I filed my already short nails into a more feminine shape and applied nail polish. Then dressed most of the day. When the time came to put it all away, what gave me the biggest sense of Dysphoria wasn't putting away the clothes or removing the polish but trimming back my nails. I'm still trying to understand why that is.
Sorry for the downer. Please let's get back to the positive. I love this thread and it gives me some hope.
Dori.
The moment when my boyfriend let's me cuddle up to him and wraps his arm around me.
Getting flirted with by guys.
For me,
Putting on a bra (especially a padded one)...
Pulling down my cami so it stretches down under my shirt and over my hips...
Sitting up straight, and walking like that...
Wearing mascara...
Wearing tight pants...
Crossing my legs...
And walking with my hands bent slightly out.

Actually I am a little bit embarrassed when guys stare at me close up.
