Title: "Scrotum Separation" Underwear.. Good for FTM packing?
Post by: Banf on September 15, 2015, 12:20:11 PM
Hi folks,

So I just discovered a style of underwear I never knew existed..
They basically look a LOT like harness briefs (eg Rodeohs), but.. designed for guys with non-detachable penises!

Here's a couple of examples:
http://www.amazon.com/FiteX-Scrotum-Separation-Performance-Stretch/dp/B00UIT5RR4
http://www.amazon.com/GV2-Scrotum-Separation-Performance-Shorts/dp/B00V7XYOLA/ref=pd_d0_nib_vs_ap_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=12CY30FABFGMXHZJR2VS&dpID=51f15K4gKtL&dpSrc=sims&preST=_SL500_SR160%2C160_
All the ones I could find are Korean.

Things that make 'em look better than Rodeohs/other specific FTM packing underwear:
- Price. Basic Rodeohs look to be around $50 (plus shipping, in my case from USA to the UK..), for a single pair of everyday pants. These other things are on Amazon with free UK delivery, for £6.35 a pair (or $13).
- Microfibre material. How I stumbled across these was originally looking for "active" underwear with breathability/sweat-wicking properties (eg Under Armor, Exofficio etc). So since I was already looking for those features, its useful to me.
- The packer is not hanging outside the front. Better for discreteness in everyday use/packing/peeing. Obviously, not better for play.
- Upwards Fly. My EZP STP just arrived today, and in one of the videos Alex recommends this style of fly as the/one of the best for using this STP.

Just curious if anyone here has ever tried these things!
There's not many reviews on Amazon, and I assume they're all from cisguys. I might give one a go..

MOD EDIT: Corrected a language issue.

I'm eager to try these. I wonder why no American companies make them?

Do you know of any that can be used as a STP?

I saw these on Ebay myself and while google searching if it was good for a packer, I came to this thread.

RaptorChops, have you ordered it? If so, how is your experience with packing with them?

As an american person born with a scrotum and the fortune to not be bottom dysphoric... this doesn't seem appealing.  It looks like adding an extra layer of fabric where one really doesn't belong.  I think about getting injured and having an EMT tug on my shorts, with the little guy stuck in that hole... no thanks.  Maybe it's a cultural thing?  Underwear didn't evolve the same everywhere.

I found these separate pouch underwear from a brand called "David Archy" on Amazon; I never could find an official website. Regardless of where exactly they come from, they are super cheap, really nice material and quality, and very comfortable.

Here's the style that I purchased: http://www.amazon.com/David-Archy-Separate-Pouches-Trunks/dp/B00DYNPFUU/ref=sr_1_2/187-0929915-8293719?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1450540198&sr=1-2&nodeID=7141123011 (http://www.amazon.com/David-Archy-Separate-Pouches-Trunks/dp/B00DYNPFUU/ref=sr_1_2/187-0929915-8293719?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1450540198&sr=1-2&nodeID=7141123011). They have a pouch made of thin material for the balls (which I'm sure is good for guys with biological scrotum to keep cool). Unlike the ones that you posted, these have a "pocket" that the shaft tucks into that is attached at the top, with a fly on the underside.

I'm not very good at using my STP, so I don't really use it to pee. However, it packs in these really well (I have the Model D). It is easy to pull the shaft out from the "pocket" if you were going to pee.

They do run small and are only available up to an XL. I've got about a 40 waist, 44 hips, and they fit, but they're a little snug. Also, I think that the care instructions suggested that you hand wash them. I was them in cold water on delicate in a garment bag, and hang them up to dry.

Overall, for 25 bucks for 4 pairs, I would give them a try.
