Title: Fat Redistribution and only one side???
Post by: DarkWolf_7 on September 19, 2015, 09:27:57 AM
So before T I had that typical thin feminine shape, hardly any fat and muscle at top and gradually getting wider. Now being three months on T and trying to gain weight through a better diet and a bit of exercise and now it looks less pear shaped on one side but for whatever reason my other side still looks like it did Pre-T? I don't know anyone who has had this case.

Could it be because I inject on one side? A deformed rib from binding? I'm hoping it goes away with putting on more weight but I don't know.

Since I haven't really seen any pictures online I took one of myself and I'm sorry to blind anyone's eyes:

Could it be that you're used to standing in a way that shifts weight to one hip, and that's creating the illusion of a one-sided redistribution? I know I've got a bad habit of cocking my hip a little.

I agree with @captains. When I take comparison pictures of my stomach I do see it's a little crooked like that. I don't think your body would actually only re-distribute on one side you know?

As the others already stated it looks like your hips are aslant. If you look at the lines of your abdominal, they all go off to the side.

There is also the possibility that your hip is larger on one side than the other, or one leg is slightly longer so you naturally stand skewed. If that is the case it is completely natural. People don't grow perfectly symmetrical. My head is actually naturally tilted to the side for instance. My nose deviates a bit too. I also have a few ribs higher on one side than the other. All normal.

I can assure you it has nothing to do with your injection spot, and unlikely a deformity from binding unless you've been binding your entire life, and too tightly while still growing.
Switching injection sites has more to do with allowing the area to heal and avoid abscesses or scar tissue, and avoid painful irritation in general. The hormones should be flowing about your system before they even break down.

Have someone else take a pic. I agree with others, it looks like you're putting weight on one leg/cocking the hip.

Since I can't edit my original post here is a better picture from a different device:

The asymmetry you see could be due to scoliosis.
In the first picture, the linea alba is somewhat curved and not vertical, and it tends to follow the curvature of the spine.

Also the unequal light gives the illusion of one side being more curvy than the other.
