I'm pre just about everything, still living entirely as a male, but I've grown a lot more certain of my identify as a trans woman the last few months. I've always been feminine compared to cis-men but lately I think my family is subconsciously picking up on that I'm changing.
I haven't changed my appearance, except for my eyebrows. I suspect, however, that my demeanor has changed as I've become more honest towards myself.
Yesterday during a discussion on the hormonal effects of soy, I stated that I eat soy on a daily basis, and it has not affected the results of my exercise. To this, my mother in law replied "Oh, I thought you were going to say: 'and the phytoestrogens are making me more female by the day'! Maybe you wouldn't mind that, though?"
Also, my mother and grandmother accidentally used feminine pronouns when singing a birthday song to me.
Maybe they won't be so shocked when I come out, after all. :D
Sounds promising. I hope your coming out goes smoothly.
Doesn't seem like they've subconsciously picked up on it... more like consciously picked up on it. Maybe it's time to have a chat.

I didn't get that feeling, but it is of course entirely possible. And yes, it is probably time for that chat soon.
