Title: LGBT media?
Post by: soaringPhoenix on September 26, 2015, 11:05:09 PM
I'm so sick of hearing and seeing all the usual cishet lovey dovey crap. Does anyone have any suggestions on a decent movie that relates to lgbt stuff? Particularly trans*, but I'm really not picky.

Hugs,

Ohhh one of my girlfriends and I are going to watch Orange together! I heard it's good.

Been watching Transparent on Amazon Prime... and so far it's pretty interesting. I really liked Jeffrey Tambor in Arrested Development, and I think he does a remarkable job. He even spoke about how enlightening his experience was in acting in this role was for a cisgender actor. It was on NPR.

On TV, there's Becoming Us and I Am Jazz, which are both excellent. There's a couple of online series that are coming up: Her Story and Gen Zed.  I don't think either has a release date yet and I don't know where online they'll be, but they are both written, produced, and star trans women.  So that's great.
