Title: Facial care
Post by: Abby S. on September 28, 2015, 09:57:12 PM
I am 3.5 weeks into HRT (Spiro & Estrodiol), and I am starting to get light wrinkles on my face. Until now I have been using Dove Bar soap, and I love it, but from what I understand as my skin texture is changing I will have to change skin and facial soap.

I was wondering if anyone has any good experience with (good smelling...) soaps, that could help keep a soft and smooth skin?

Until now I always had a pretty soft and smooth fem skin, but I guess I have to change care if I want to keep it that way.

Male skin is naturally oilier then females skin. Its not just the face but the entire body. You can use a commercial soap with moisturizer but its more important that you use mositurizing lotion.

Any kind of body wash should be fine, but using a quality day cream with SPF, and a night cream, is almost a requirement to keeping facial skin young.

Night creams with retinol can help smooth fine wrinkles.  Creams with hyaluronic acid help retain moisture, so will plump the skin and reduce the visibility of wrinkles.

Always use SPF cream on your chest, neck, face and hands unless you want your skin to age.
