Title: hyperprolactinemia?
Post by: archlord on October 01, 2015, 10:24:19 AM
I just recieved my bloodwork results and i am going to see endocrinologist for the first time on october 8th.

It is the first time that i do deep test with my hormonal balance.

It looks like i have very high level of prolactine (28.10 ug/l) when i should have 17.90 ug/l maximum and if i was born as a women i would have maximum 25 ug/l

I dont know what it means but i had erectile dysfunction and felt very emotionnal .

I am a bit worried that it may delay the date i will start HRT  :(

Anyone had similar experience?

They are just concerned that you may have prolactinoma which is a tumor that affects your pituitary gland.

They may start you on HRT but a reduced dose and monitor you until they feel it is safe to proceed.

And yeah it can cause ED.
