So I went to my first Transgender support group today and I actually had a lot of fun, the people there were super friendly. I was really nervous at first cause I don't do well in huge groups ( that's what I was thinking ) but when I went in it was only 9 of us and the lady and her wife that run the group said that they didn't run it super strict with structure that it was more of a go with the flow type group which made me feel really comfortable. I am really looking forward to the next group meeting c:
Dear Bat:
I am really happy you found a support group - they can make such a positive difference and be a ton of fun. My first 'trip' outside was when we somehow discovered that we didn't have any dessert, and four other girls conspired to take me to Marie Callendars to buy a pie. OMG, I nearly pee'd my panties!!! :o
We all giggled on the drive back to the meeting - whew those were the days.

That sounds amazing I want to go. Its always good to have a support system. (:
I go to group every week. 5 of us submitted a workshop for the Philly Trans health conference and we were chosen. The workshop was a hit and I made 4 friends.
I'm happy :) that it was a positive experience for you, Bat.
Thank you all! sorry I haven't replied sooner but I finally got some more excellent new I finally found myself a place to live that will accept my 2 year old pitbull! I was so excited today I literally tripped over my own feet in the laundry mat today lol. Anyways yes it was super fun to go to after being so nervous at the beginning everyone is super friendly and didn't think I was weird when I was making Alice in wonderland references ( long story xD) I really can't wait for the next meeting to bad that it is so far away.
