I recently discovered DHEA, and have heard mixed things on it. The problem is, I'm only 15 and was wondering how it may affect me if I do take it? Or even if it's a good idea?
I pass 95% of the time already. I have a deep voice, masculine structure, and have been living as male full time for about a year and a half now, so I could live without it, but still want that extra boost.
Any help or advice?
Welcome to Susan's Place. TOS 8 prohibits discussion of self medication. We do this because incorrectly used hormones can be deadly. Doses may be different from person to person and regular blood test are needed to ensure dangerous levels of hormones aren't accumulating in the body. At age 15, your best bet would be to have a doctor prescribe blockers as they will stop puberty and allow you to reach the maximum hight possible for your body. Have you heard mixed things from transmen, or from the bodybuilding community? There is an inherent difference in what they're being used for.
For us, I would say it is largely a waste of time and money. For FTMs, supplementation like you're discussing will really only give you results if you are eating and exercising as if you were a competitive bodybuilder. You need to have ultra low body fat in order to experience the masculinizing effects of it that you would be looking for. Look into natural transitioning if that's what you're interested in. There are a lot of resources out there about it.
At the end of the day, supplementing will probably not give you the degree of masculinization that you're looking for. What you want will require HRT. You could probably get on blockers at your age until you're ready for T.
