Title: Cosmetic GCS vs. Fully functionional GCS
Post by: Joi on October 07, 2015, 01:32:57 PM
After much contemplation, prayer and evaluation, I have decided to limit the GCS procedure that I am having performed by Dr. Chettawut to a cosmetic procedure.

Although my life long dream was always focused upon attaining a fully functional vagina with depth as appropriate to my anatomy, I have reached the conclusion that due to my age (I will have just turned 68 at the time of the surgery) & the fact that I identify as lesbian, the risks and benefits for me make my choice logical & reasonable.  Although my mind's vision of a rigorous and active sex life in my late sixties and into my seventies was a pleasant expectation, I have concluded that these thoughts were likely the musings of memories from a more youthful time of my life.

That being said:  Have any of the ladies on the forum considered this option or had this procedure performed?   And if so, would you be willing to share your experiences, pros, cons and overall satisfaction or dissatisfaction with the outcome?

Thx,

Hugz,
Joi

I have three friends two of whom have had cosmetic vulvaplasty and one of whom hopes to have it in the next few months. For all three of them, their age and lack of any interest in sex were the key factors.

Recovery time is faster, there are less complications (no fistulas or prolapses) and the operation requires less preparation and less time. The two who have had it are happy enough.

When I was having my full vulvaplasty the other patient being operated on that week had elected for a cosmetic option and she was back at work quite quickly, certainly quicker than me, and we are both in our 50s.
