Hello , I am 19 and I am M2F transsexual. I came to this point where going on hormones is the only thing that can mentally make me feel better , as well as physically. I am therefore going to self-medicate with Estrogel , moderate dosage , but not going to take an anti-androgen. My testosterone levels are moderate . What could I expect concerning the level of feminization ? I know that each person is different but on average I mean . How fast could the feminization process go ?
I am not under medical supervision because of two reasons :
1) My parents who reject my GID
2) The long waiting terms with gender centra here in Belgium ( it would take 18 months from now to put me on hormones - My body is still changing so 18 months make a HUGE difference in my case )
I am not on an anti-androgen because I can't afford it .
I plan to feminize for a year now , till I am passable enough as a bio-woman , and then I am going to alert my parents that I stepped into transitioning on my own. Next year I am going to start searching for competent potential surgeons for my GRS and in two years I would like to have my GRS done in Thailand or with doctor Bowers.
I am starting to seek a side job beside my studies from now on , in order to be able to afford it.
But I wonder if with a moderate dosage of oestradiol ( I know I will have to take this for the rest of my life ) I will have feminized enough by the time of GRS ( 2017 ) in order to pass as naturally born female ....
If it might matter something : my body is very childish , I am 52 kilograms and 163 centimeters height . Thus both very tiny and petit .
Its up to you...
Here are a few resources that might help coming out :

I also like the twin comparison... they will be like their male/female twin, with still the same sense of humour...
One way might be to come out and go the route in your country...
there might be ways it goes faster...
you might look at transgender boards of your contry, and contact a few people.
They might know some helpful psychologists/doc/endos/centers where it goes faster.
Another option might be going private in the uk or us .
There are doctors in london who do private treatment, you can look them up in other postings.
And there are endos in the us who do implants, two or three times a year.
Concerning srs you might look if its covered... its more and more covered now, or there might be some additional services available where its covered, maybe even abroad.

We cannot give you any medical advice on this site. I know you believe you have a plan but believe me these drugs can be dangerous if not used properly and medically supervised.
Considering this topic is for the purpose of self medication. Thread locked.
