Title: Cheapest SRS with quality in Thailand ?
Post by: WomanLikeAStar on October 10, 2015, 08:19:35 AM
Hi everyone ,
so only four days until I start my average dose hormone therapy gel . I am so excited ! I expect a lot from it !

I have a very girly and feminin hourglass figure and a very girly face . Normally I should be passable in only a few months of HRT . I don't need a testo blocker as my testo marker ( which got measured for other medication I have to take for something else ) showed that I have only 98 of testosterone when last measured 6 months ago .
Probably it will shut down even more with the estrogel .

But my biggest goal forward and the real cherry on the cake will be my GRS / SRS which I should undergo in two years.

I compared the prices of dr Suporn and the quality of dr Chettawut and his prices .
The quality appears to be the same but dr Chettawut obviously charges less .
What I also find a big advantage is the fact that dr Chettawut doesn't entirely respect the WPATH standards and isn't too severe about the recommendation letters as you can just obtain them locally by asking referal to two Thai psychiatrists . Obtaining those recommendation letters via the regular way would take up to 4 years here in Belgium . That's why Thailand is a wonderful option for transwomen like myself who know 100% sure which is the right treatment for them and who have no mental weaknesses that could make them make wrong decisions .

However , 7500$ is still a big sum for me . I am only just 19 and I shouldn't expect help from my parents . Insurance won't pay for SRS abroad either . SRS techniques covered by insurance are very , very poor here in Belgium . It is just the same technique Dr Burou started with and the neovagina looks to fake . In Thailand results are increasingly better , both aesthetically and functionally . That's why I would want my SRS to happen in Thailand . I could probably save 5000$ for the surgery and then 4000$ for my stay and flight . But does anyone know a good Thai surgeon performing decent GRS ( non - penile ) for 5000$ ?
I considered entering the " erotic entertainment industry " to be able to pay for my surgery as studying at university won't make me any money soon . But then I realized that I shouldn't sell my dignity for any amount in the world ....

Does anyone knows a good alternative ?

Advice would be greatly appreciated .

Hugs ,
Vincence ( pronounced on its French , like in Florence )

I don't know much about Thai surgeons apart from Suporn, but there's some really bad surgeons in Thailand at the low end. You'd want to stay well clear of them.

I think the price difference between chet and Suporn has to do with where they operate. Chets clinic is very small and located in an area where the rent is probably quite low. I don't know about suporns clinic but I've heard its bigger. Higer overheads etc. 7500 sounds like a lot when you're a teenager but, if you're aiming for surgery in two years, you could try to save 75$ a week (I know saving is hard, especially while you study), and you'd have your fee.

Have you also undergone SRS with doctor Suporn ?
I wonder how Isis King paid a top notch surgeon like dr Bowers who charges even more if I see al the prices . Sometimes surgeons operate for free if you make enough publicity for their services like Isis obviously did with her appearence on the Tyra Banks show .

I know saving is hard but as they say ... You can only have your vaginaplasty once and I want to have it done the best I can ... Here in Belgium I would receive it from social insurance but social insurance paid surgeons don't care for details like the labia maiora ,... which I find very important .
I am going to try to save as much as I can ... Thailand is a third world country so I assume bidding on your operation ( 6000$ instead of 7500 $ ) is common there ... At least think I will try to bid on my surgery ...

Thailand isn't a third world country. That term doesn't mean what you seem to think it does. Areas of thailand are developing, other areas are so wealthy it would make your head spin. You can try to barter with your surgeon... I don't know how much success you'll have. They don't seem to have any problems finding clients willing to pay their fee.

You might get in contact with this member:

She is from thailand and might have more information.

Well... its up to you... please do some research...

and you might look into private addons concerning insurance.
In some countries there are addons available with private options where an srs abroad might be partly covered.

*hugs*

Chettawut is less expensive than Suporn, but he still charges 333,000 baht which converts to $9500 US currency and that price is going up next year.  Add in the cost of the flight, hotel, and food plus miscellaneous charges and it adds up to quite a bit.  For example, a psychiatric evaluation there costs about $300.  If he has to do a groin tissue graft (to get the desired vaginal depth) it's an additional 33,000 baht ($900).  Then, you have to pay for the pre-screening testing he requires and additional testing when you get there.  I live in Chicago, so it's a 23 hour flight home.  Everyone says book business class on the return home so you have room to stretch out.  You are still going to be VERY sore.  And, is someone coming with you? That's another expense.  When it all came together for me, the savings going to Thailand was pretty small compared to some local US surgeons, but I still want the Thai non-penile inversion method.  And I don't want to wait a year for genital hair removal.   ^-^

I went to Saran and the only thing I could fault him on was  maybe depth-but he does a penile inversion with scrotal graft.I ended up with 4.75 inches and happily cope with the orange soul source in width, cosmetics are fine and I'm orgasmic. Chett had been on my list but the idea of being in a clinic rather than a hospital swayed me towards Saran. Preecha follows the same technique. If you want Chett's or Suporn's technique then you just have to save. It's hard but as Isobel says every cent mounts up.Good luck x
