Title: A gentle solution to permanent hair removal ?
Post by: Lucie on October 18, 2015, 01:40:12 PM
I have been told by a friend of mine that white facial hair can be removed using a paste made of liquid honey, lemon juice and oatmeal or oatbran, all mixed together.
I am curious to know whether someone of you ladies has tried this method of hair removal and if so which result has been obtained.

The only known permanent method of hair removal is destruction of the follicle, by which I mean removal of the blood supply to the roots of the hair.  This is only assured through Electrolysis...

Short answer, NO. Long answer, NO. Laser or electrolysis just like the rest of us. I have know many try the "recipe". No go. Sorry. :)

Of things I tried SHR laser is the gentlest.

But it will be a bitch until your therapist finds the right amounts of energy. My first treatment was ineffective. The second one was actually good. I will ask again for an increase of cumulative amount for the third one.

Pain is minimal, smell is about the same, and it seems to work.

I thank you Heather and Jessica for your advice which does not surprise me. It's not worth trying this recipe.

Thanks also to you Martine. I'll have my second laser session next monday. The first one was a bit painful but it has been effective (shaving is already easier).
