Title: Effects of low E?
Post by: ilovehormones on October 20, 2015, 09:14:10 PM
I have been on HRT 12+ months now and for the first 8 months my estrogen had been at 53 pg/mL and so I was increased with more progynova and now for the last 4+ months my levels have been 98 pg/mL and my doctor's are telling me that it is perfect range and will not increase me, is this right? I thought it was suppose to be higher as I am 25years old? What effects am i missing out on?

As for levels it is hard to say especially if you are on pills since they tend to spike then drop off rapidly getting an average kinda hard.  I do know that when e levels are very low I will feel it and have cold sweats and hot flashes, and other menopause like symptoms.

It's hard to say what the ideal level is.   Some endos set an arbitrary target range and once that is reached, will keep their patients on that level.

More importantly, how do you feel?

Development rates are slow, this isn't Magic pixie dust, and it will take years.  So long as something is slowly happening, then don't worry.  Take measurements if you really need to quantify things.
