After Ellen (http://www.afterellen.com/node/24823?comment=399546)
I wasn't sure where I was meant to post this, so basically I'd like to talk about my experience and just ask in general what women here think about post op mtf transgenders who like women. I have also seen them being referred to as ->-bleeped-<-dykes or lesbian transsexuals on various sites. But I don't want to go into naming because that may be a sensitive issue for some here.
I think that they r lesbians. 8)
QuoteI think that they r lesbians.
Depends on their genitalia.
But they could be? Or not.
I don't think anything.
This is a subject fit for a fistfight. I believe you will be getting more than you expected for answers soon. Very soon. Tick. Tick. Tick The clock is ticking.
By the way, I think you just introduced a new term by using the word ->-bleeped-<-dykes. Now we have to open up a section for TD's.

Why? Isn't there more to making love as a woman than a certain body part?
Hmmmmm....what do I think? Nothing. They are just women like me or a zillion of others; the only difference is that they prefer other women for romantic relationships. :)

since when has who someone is depended on thier genitalia in the TG community? I am sorry but this sounds like the same responce that people give about TS not being women because of genitalia. it is plain and simple those of us who like women are either lesbian or we are are just greedy like me and we like both we are bi-sexual and our gay side is with women!
Link works fine.
Perhaps Thundra just meant that it is up to the people actually involved in the relationship to define it or not and not everyone else in the world.
Well, basically, I think it's okay. Whatever floats your boat, Honey. I guess they would be called Lesbian.
Why ask for labels on anyone? But since you asked... Whether pre or post and regardless of how well they pass, I would consider them women. By your qualification I would consider them lesbian.
And my question is:
Does it matter?

BRILLIANT!!!!
Nobody else matters is the correct answer.
Kewpie doll for the lady please.
As long as you and your partner(s) agree that you are, it doesn't %&$@#(* matter.
Please watch your language, Thundra.
One of those pointy characters almost put out my eye. It may have been the dollar sign. Ow
The link worked for me now. I've been reading through the very lengthy discussion and am pleased to see some education happening courtesy of other women, a lot of good support and deep searching. Overall pretty positive for our side. After Ellen is one of my favorite lesbian sites.
