I'm still in the recovery centre. Today would be day 3 post op. I am constantly hot! Not feverish temperature but definitely close. Had any one else experienced this. I know hormones help regulate body temperature, but I'm almost debilitated by the constant heat.
Well it might be a side effect of some meds or the surgery...
or it might be menopausal symptoms from lack of estrogen...
you might ask them if estrogen skin patches are ok, they are supposed to be less causing clotting factors.

Congratulations first of all. :)
The nurses should still be checking your vitals regularly today, do they show anything? Feeling hot from lack of estrogen and from applying ice constantly does happen. There were times I woke up covered in sweat. But my actual temp was still fine.
If in doubt, keep annoying the nurses.
Congratulations on the surgery!
I had sweats and needed my sheets changed often. There are many reasons why this could be happening and certainly some are minor. It should be something that you tell your doctor. Don't relent. If it's just a drop in hormones, then that will be an easy fix for you. Perhaps they have you on a plastic bed with just a sheet cover? That will do it for sure if you don't roll around much.
Chin up!

If they took you off of estrogen, your experiencing hot flashes. It happens and is normal. Once you get back on estrogen it will all abate.
