Title: Dealing with acne
Post by: SilverWing on October 31, 2015, 05:41:03 PM
So, I've repeatedly been given advice to take more care of my skin. Partly because girls tend to have better skin, partly because I don't exactly look all that great. I basically have acne all over my face (more concentrated on m temples and forehead, but also prominent on my cheeks), and it's all over my shoulders and the top of my back. It's even on the parts of my arms that my shirt usually covers.

Does anybody have any ideas about how I can deal with this and get rid of it? Please note that if I have to buy anything, it will have to come from the Dollar General down the street.

Hey. I live in the UK so not sure what the shop you mentioned sells, buy I find Clearisal works better than just soap and water. I still get spots/pimples but there seems to be fewer of them. Maybe you can find something similar at the shop

Yeah, back when my parents still let me get acne stuff, that worked pretty well. I don't know if I could find it in Dollar General, though. That's basically the cheapest general store around.

Don't know if you're still seeking for a solution, but I'll go ahead and tell you what i do.

Wash my face in the morning, afternoon, and before bed with acne wash called "Yes to tomatoes" and water.
Sit in the sun for a little with my face exposed.

Seems like my skins cleared up a lot. Try it :)

There might be a quite logical explanation:
some people reported it getting better after drinking more water, and eating healthy.
One explanation is toxins which the body cannot excrete are accumulated in the skin.

So drinking more water, which might help flush out the system, and eating healthy, for example also leaving away high sugar drinks, might help.

*hugs*

i supposed your skin type is oily? mine is very oily so acne is always a big concern. i figure most acne products will dry your skin out, make your acne getting worse. so i stop using them.
i realize back in the medieval time, people use charcoal to treat poison. now we have activated charcoal which is used to pull out all the dirt deep under your skin. any product has activated charcoal would be helpful. you can get any at Walmart. they're affordable, around $7 or cheaper. when it comes to face wash, it's not about the expensive stuff, it's about what really works :D
