Title: 'That time of the month'
Post by: Elis on November 17, 2015, 08:02:55 AM
I hope this topic won't be too uncomfortable to talk about. I was curious as to how far into starting T you were until you no longer had shark week.  I was told it wouldn't stop until around the 2 month mark but I've taken T for 11 days and I think I've stopped (touch wood). I got some blood a few days ago but nothing since, which isn't usual. Is my body just responding to the T really well or is my body just confused and my period will come back?
Thanks for any insight :)

depending on the person i guess. some people stop within a month, some stop way later. it took me about 2 months.

Shark week had made it's unwanted visit around the same time of my first T shot. Haven't had a revisit yet and I'm almost 7 weeks on T. Hoping it stays that way, I'm certainly not missing it.

I had one after starting T but it was because I started in the middle of the cycle. They didn't make a comeback, despite of my worst fears.

I started T while on a period and that was my last one. Some guys don't have one ever again, some it can take a year or more. You're perfectly within the realm of possibility.

Hi Elis,

Mine started getting delayed as soon as I started T. Every week that it was supposed to be on, it came a week after that. It also got a lot lighter and shorter. It went away completely by 3 months.

Thanks guys :). I guess I was worrying for nothing. At the moment I'm appreciating everyday until/if my time of the month decides to come back. I still had some symptoms of shark week  (muscle achyness) but I'd have that any time in place of the alternative  :D

IIRC, mine was gone in about 3 months. I had one that was the same as it had ever been, one that seemed lighter, and one that lasted like a day and was really light. Then I haven't had one since.

I started T the 21st of October. So far it's been delayed about a week, I'll welcome any time it decides to leave.
