Title: Why I'm absent
Post by: Andre on January 07, 2006, 04:23:15 PM
Hey!Thanx Valerie for worrying, dear dear friend. Most is passable at my place. I decided to spend more time with family during holidays(New Year,Orthodox Christmas, and have to study for exams(end of January)..will hang more often as soon as I finish(exams). Good  news is that I(finally) found TG  FTM in my country. He is finishing school for police. We met last week, and will meet again(now exchange SMS because he lives in another city). Also this morning I received a message from another TG guy,he noticed my posts and proposed me to help in forming TG support group in my country. Of course,I accepted and hope to broad views of people here (talked to some, and they said terrible things about TGs...was shocked how limited they were...and more shocked because they were gays and lesbians –thought they could understand...and what even more worries me are fake fake CDs and TGs..intrudors..(met some on chat)pretending and purposely mucking name of our community..in our country..terrible...I linked to this site and hope that they'll see our forum-especially our creative side...so deep and so sincere(poetry,..) ..but u know..who wants to see,he'll see..).
Thinking on u folks,...what I want to show them is that I can succeed, finish school,be better despite of  my "defects"...heh..REAL defects are such thoughts, discrimination they show to people like us....LOVE U FOLKS!Promise as soon as I finish with exams will hang more often...

There are many reasons among both gays and lesbians that contribute to a dislike or detraction from supporting TG peoples as a legitimate group.

Most often it is because of the fragmented nature of TG membership and the real relavance of thier expressed concerns of inclusion in politics or public recognition.

their reasons are the same as often come to head on clash between TS's and general TG pupulations.  While TS's have a relevent issue very simular to Gays and Lesbians, the public is to often confronted with the other TG segments and cause conflict with public opinion rather then interest and compassion as with "true" transsexuals and attempts to include them in politics most often results of failure of laws ment to enhance the status of members of GBLT (keep in mind that the T more ment Transsexuals then Transgenders) in early beginnings

The problem for them having these attitudes is that other then legitimate, documented and confirmed Transsexuals who actually go to the extent of expressing thier desire for being the desired gender by actuall living, working and expressing full time as such is so very rare compaired to the number of people who only express such desires at home in private or at special places where they feel protected from consiquences.

The TG environment fails to define itself and to what extent each person deserves recognition as a person who legitimately deserves special consideration other then laws which already exist to protect them.

We all know that the protections we currently have are simply not adiquate, especially in many areas of location, but by the natuer of many of the people who identify as TG they are most offten an embarrassment and a hinderance to the works of those who desire equality to those who are simply stuck with a mental/biological predicument of having no other choice but to live as they do in the opposite sex.

Gays and Lesbians are also all to familiar with the fact that while there are those who will say to everybody they are actuall Transsexuals, thier life style and full time expression does little or nothing to support that claim.

It comes down to the fact that different gays and lesbians will or will not support TG's, and most of this problem is not thier fault, it is the TG community who will not aggressively support thier own desire for equality or support desperate concerns of GL because they think it doesn't concern them and the TG community will not come to terms with defining or accepting any legitimate definition of what conditions must be met to be included in new protectoin laws.

Regardless of how the GL peoples consider or approve of TG's, It is up to the TG community and it's every true memeber to learn to cooperate and define who and what they are where protection laws are involved.  Until the TG sommunity accepts thier own liability and necessity of doing what is necessary in a real world of life and politics many GL people will have doubts, suspicions and concerns about associating with them.

Sad truths that nobody wants to hear or discuss, but again, that is the problem with communication, education and effectiveness in the GBLT concerning the TG community as a whole.

Sorry about possibly hurting the feelings of some, but I am more interested in adressing real concerns in the real world than simply saying what most would rather hear.

Hey there Andre,

As far as I'm concerned and everyone else here, you do NOT have any defects.  Those who can't see you for the wonderful person you are, are the ones who have defects.  I hope that everything turns out the way you hope for, especially the exams, they are so important.  Keep us posted when you can, and you always know where to reach me.

Take care Buddy,

Steph

thanx folks for replies...often feel moody... especially was sad yesterday..what was worse I don't mind if there's no one to share happines with but even if there is someone to share sadness mosten often that person enjoy your suffering...my cat Abdula died last night...(car accident)....guess we learn life lesson when we die...and was thinking about feelings..if we stop feeling,we stop living...looking like that...living on a graveyard...and most people just talk but not converse...ok..enough with dark thoughts-must be because of pressure...back to work:)..

I don't know about replacing as when I lost my Rotti Lucy I got a Collie named Sam. Sam filled a gap in my life but not exactly the one that Lucy filled. I agree though that it does help to climb back on quickly

Sorry to here about your cat Andre. I know how that is. We had a cat for 17 years of his life. His last year he went into kidney failure and we were able to maintain a good quality of life for him with shots and twice weekly hydration with an IV drip. He stayed pretty healthy for many months but finally began to slowly deteriorate to the point were we had to put him to sleep. It was a very sad day for us. He was a very old and dear friend and we miss him very much to this day. I always swear I won't get another animal, but they always seem to show up at our door and it is not long before they take up residence in our heart. I'm sending you a great big hug.
