Title: Waist/Hip Ratio
Post by: Skeptoid on November 21, 2015, 09:00:24 PM
I rarely ever see anyone talk about it here and I've yet to see many people volunteer it. Feel free to share your exact ratio if you like! Did you measure it before and after transition? Has anyone experience any change and actually recorded it? Are you sure it was the bones growing and not more padding? For those of you who don't know, here is how to get your ratio.

Measure around the narrowest part of your waist and the widest part of your hips. Divide your waist measurement by your hip measurment. For example: my waist is 24in divided by 34in for my hips. That gives me a ratio of about 0.71 if I round. It's difficult to get exact measurements so don't sweat it too much.

.777 (28" - 36") before, .75 (27" - 36") currently.

Nothing with bones as I'm well past puberty; it's more of a "lack of padding". Lol... maybe some day I'll get a tushy.  ::)

mine is: 30" waist / 42" hips = 0.71

This is while being slightly overweight at 23.8 BMI ... If I get close to my target weight (which is at minus 15-20lbs) at about 21 BMI, my waist/hip ratio goes under 0.7  . Last time I was about 15lbs lighter I measured 27" and 40" ( 0.675 ).

I don't remember measurements from before transition. I had some padding effect on the right places, but I also get padding around my waist (because of my chocolate and cakes and icecream diet).

I didn't experience any bones growing on HRT (started at 25). I didn't physically develop after age 14, except for pelvis widening (until 20-22), which explains my ratio.

0.795 @ 35" waist and 44" hips. Starting to try to get my waist down but my hips probably won't lose more than an inch if anything... it's mostly bone.

27 inch waist with 39 inch hips at almost a year HRT. So that's about 0.69 WHR?

Pre HRT I was obese with 34 inch waist and 36 inch hips but I was 210lbs. Now I'm about 150ish.

I'm not a big person at all. 5'6", size 8 and size 8 (us) shoes too.

My mom is very hippy so I guess I will be too. :)

28 waist with 37.5 hips  .  I have no fat on hips yet but i am fat on abdomen.

I expect something like   26/27 waist - 39/40 hips
