I have a private cert and probably will get a new medical soon, along with getting recurrent. I guess I'll see what all this entails then.

I would definitely wait until the middle of December to check on the status of things.  There is another transgender pilot working to re-write the policy.  My understanding of it, is that in early December the policy will change if approved.
