So the last couple of days I've felt like my arms and shoulders just look a bit better in my shirts. My shirts fit better in general, especially in the sleeves, and I told myself that they shrunk in the wash (since most of them are new). And then I put on my leather biker jacket... and the sleeves are shorter. MUAHAHAHA my shoulders and arm muscles are wider/bigger/whatever after all! Yeah, okay, its pretty miniscule, but after weeks of feeling like NOTHING is changing, I am soooo happy! It's also good to know that I am not insane! I am not going crazy staring at my body and thinking there are changes that aren't really there! Woooooooo....
Sorry, I had to express my undignified excitement SOMEWHERE, and my family just looked at me like I was nuts and made a "talking to crazy people" sort of comment about how, oh yeah, my arms look REAL good (and it is time for us to back away sloooowly). ;)
Congratulations :)
Some mtf people report a shrinking in size...
and a shrinking in shoe size...
so the opposite could be true for you :)
big *hugs*
You're right, you aren't nuts! After one week my forearms tightened up (enlarged) to where they would be if I had been working out on a regular basis prior to taking T. It was WEIRD.
If you haven't already, take some measurements and before photos. I'm very camera shy, but the measurements speak for themselves. I was so certain that I wasn't seeing any kind of weight redistribution until I had to measure myself for a suit recently. In a year I've:
- Gained 1.5" in my neck
- Gained 4" through my shoulders
- Gained 1.5" in my biceps
- Gained 2" across my chest
- Lost 3" from my waist
- Lost 2" from my thighs
- Grew 1" in height
- Lost 20lbs
So measure yourself! It made my day seeing how the numbers lined up. Think how excited you'll be in a year when you can look back at all the change :)
Yeah man. It happens. I thought I was going crazy too.
I wish I had had the insight to take measurements though. I also wish my change had resulted in a weight loss.
After starting I'd say a few weeks in I went through some weird feelings, like I was going to burst out of my skin, kind of like the werewolves in that movie Van Helsing with Hugh Jackman.
It was insane, but soon I noticed my pants slipping at the hips and my shirts getting tight at the shoulders and before I knew it I was 20 pounds heavier. Though my clothing sizes did not fluctuate to make me think I got fatter. I actually felt a bit more trim. It was nuts. I went from 240 to 260 pounds in about 1-2 months.
Congrats on the changes.
