"HIV, human immunodeficiency virus, has been trending lately on the heels of the announcement of actor Charlie Sheen. Charlie Sheen announced that he is HIV positive and has been for the past four years. HIV is the virus that causes AIDS. This announcement came as a surprise to many of his fans while his close friends and the Hollywood community as a whole were not. Certain behaviors that Sheen has engaged put him at risk for HIV. Behaviors like drug/needle users, having multiple sex partners in particular gay/bisexual individuals, and the transference of bodily fluids of an infected person."
