Author Klara Piechocki-Brown crowdfunds her debut LGBT+ novel using Unbound, an innovative publishing platform.
Unbound is both a funding platform and a publisher, helping authors to become published with the support of their readers. The readers help to get great ideas published, and in return receive an insight into the writing process as well as having their name printed as a patron in that and every subsequent edition of the book.

This does seem to be an interesting way to generate support and distribution for a writer and an alternative to self-publishing on Smashwords and/or Amazon. While this doesn't seem especially newsworthy, it may be of interest to our burgeoning writing community here as a way to, as Klara says, "normalise what mainstream society still thinks of as an alternative lifestyle." While it is important to use the courts to secure rights, true acceptance by society will only come about through education and more, getting society to see LGBT folk, and especially trans-people AS JUST PEOPLE. JMHO
