(Bear with me here, please - I'm totally new to this.)
I've just had my first opportunity to try on some of the sexy lingerie I've bought for myself, but as it happens, I've run into some problems of my own while experimenting. Obviously, compared to a cis-woman I have an extra 'package' I need to hide somewhere in there. Now, just to make this clear: I've no interest in tucking it in to the point where it can't be seen at all. I only intend to dress up at home for the time being, and even if I would go out, I wouldn't be going to the beach anytime soon. (Plus I want to be comfortable, and tucking doesn't sound very comfortable at all. Finally, I just flat out don't mind a bulge at all as long as the rest of me looks feminine enough.)
Still, I'm a bit stumped. Given the premise that I don't want to tuck it in too much, how would I even fit into my panties? I've got some XL panties - not briefs, but not quite G-strings either, so it did look like there is some space there to fit them in. Still though, the only way I seem to be able to fit them in decently enough is if I wear them the "wrong way around" - wider part in front. It isn't so bad that way, although after some time I still feel a bit of unpleasant strain on my testicles; though adjusting my underwear a little can make that go away, at least, it's still a bit of a downer.
So, basically, my questions are - do people actually do this, i.e. wearing the panties reversed? And are my experiences normal for crossdressers or am I doing something wrong? Would getting even bigger sizes help? (XL fits me just fine in male underwear, although I guess that women's underwear wasn't designed to house a penis in it. ;D) I'd rather not resort to wearing undies with more coverage like briefs, granny panties or whatever. Kind of defeats the point.
Actually, tucking isn't that bad. You might find that wearing a size smaller underneath the normal size and doing a soft tuck will solve most of the issues you are raising.
I don't know, I've tried a few of the techniques I've found on this forum and they all ended up being either painful or ineffective for me (sometimes both). Plus most tucking guides seem to focus on hiding the goods - I just want to position them in such a way that they're comfortable, visible or not. I know I must be doing something wrong, but that knowledge doesn't really help me if I can't get it right. What do you mean by a "soft tuck", by the way?
I guess I could try the "wear two at a time" thing out as a stopgap solution, although I'd really just love to get away with one. Oh well, I'll do what I have to.
For me I look towards panties that have more material in that region. Staying away from high waisted styles and leaning more towards brief style (no not granny panties though). Like you I don't tuck nor do I want to. I dress at home for my comfort and the way it makes me feel.
Now, I have to add for full disclosure that I don't wear panties that often. I like the feel of pantyhose (though most girls seem to loathe them). Pantyhose are great and keeping things snug and close but not uncomfortably. Finding the right style, size, and brand can take some time but I find hosiery comfy 7 days a week and I'm rarely not wearing some even under pants. I keep my legs shaved all year long so hosiery looks and fits much better.
Hope that helps!

Hi,
Thank you for your response (and Ms Grace too for that matter, given that I forgot to say that before). Yeah, I guess briefs are better in this regard. I actually went shopping today just to buy some presents for people and to explore some lingerie stores "on the side", but actually, I found some cheap and still sexy panties (and quite big at that) that I can fit a lot better into than the other ones I have - at least I experienced quite a bit less discomfort with it when I wore it. Pantyhose also sounds like fun and something I may want to experiment with at one point, though I prefer a combination of panties and stockings, myself.
(Still looking for any advice to help with wearing them panties in case anyone can contribute anything else, though.)
