Title: first group meeting and relizations
Post by: Julie summers on December 10, 2015, 09:31:57 PM
i had my first group meeting on sunday and it was awesome. Met some really nice people and really looking forward to going back.
i am going to ask how do i get more involved in the transgender community.
The second thing is work.
i knew my breast were starting to show but they are not that big yet or at least in my mind.
one of my men made a comment about how i had boobs because with the hoodie on a yellow safety shirt it really pronounce they were there.note to self never wear yellow.
my hair is becoming really long so now the men are starting to notice something is up. i know it not being transgender because it is the last thing they would expect ( i think)
one of the men has not seen me for mouths and when we were talking about birthdays and could not believe how old i was. he said it must be the long hair. or he meant i look a lot older lol
at the rate i am going i might be coming out by the summer because i will not be able to hide the changes under layers of winter clothes.
and on top of this i have lost 20 lbs in 7 mouths and still slowly getting where i need to be.
the urge to be me is becoming stronger and stronger where its to the point i cant stand it.

so much worry and things to think about.
i so envy the younger generation.

Great news, I hope the group continues to be a strong support for you.

Quotenote to self never wear yellow.

I find lighter colours can emphasise the breasts more probably because it makes the shadow underneath more obvious. I'd avoid white and other light colours and stick with dark colours and loose, checked shirts if you want to keep them less visible. Wearing a slightly tighter t-shirt underneath your shirt also helps to a point.

Quotei know it not being transgender because it is the last thing they would expect ( i think)

Yeah, that is usually the last thing most people ever expect - largely because they don't understand anything about how transition and hormones work.

It was nice to be in a group.
it makes me feel less lonely and i can be myself.

i know about the lighter colours but i did not expect them to show through 2 hoodies and work shirt and 2 tshirts. (yes its cold :)

as for being transgender you are right. they would not expect it in a 100 years.
except in 5 months when we go camping with them i will have to come out/want to come out.
thank you for the reply :)
