Hi I'm emily I'm a 18 year old transgender female I haven't come out to my family yet my friends know about just a few and recently one of my friends went to see my doctor and told him that I was transgender since then I'm scared to go see the doctor I'm scared of the changes that will happen to my body but I'm curious of what's going to happen I've been feeling like this since I was 12 and I'm scared of the changes I wonder what kind of changes to expect and lots of other friends thinks it's funny

If you're in the USA, by law, your doctor is supposed to keep everything confidential. If you are 18 your doctor can't even tell your parents. Don't worry too much about that part.
The changes on hormones are that your body shape and size will change, you may have some emotional changes and you coule experience some other side effects like dry skin and having to pee a lot depending on what medications you're prescribed. To me it's nothing really to be scared about.
Honestly if you're scared of the changes I would start by seeing a gender therapist who can help guide you through the whole process and even help you to decide whether you want to transition and how far you want to go.
