just switched from finasteride to dutasteride. was wondering if there is a big difference between the two.

Probably the quickest explanation is Finastride is a slightly less potent form of Dutasteride, as it bonds with 1 type of 5a and Dutasteride bonds with 2 types of 5a to prevent DHT. I believe it's a "your mileage may vary" deal, depending on what is causing the DHT... or if it is DHT causing male pattern baldness.
