Two questions, for now:
1. Exactly how much sperm do I need to freeze if I will eventually want to have two daughters using sperm sorting?
2. Exactly how much would freezing all of this sperm cost for a ten (10) year time period? Also, though, what about for a twenty (20) year time period?
Anyway, any thoughts on all of this?

Did she actually use sperm sorting, though?
She did it the old fashion way but sorting changes the odds but doesn't endure the gender of choice.
This is just a personal thing that has bugged me for a while, but it is something I see happening amongst trans people as much as cis, and this is the desire for specifically a "daughter" or a "son". How about instead a "person" who will grow to be gender they choose to be. You might have a MAAB who is a daughter, or you might have a FAAB who is a son. You may not know for years. Just love and appreciate the young human who has joined their life to yours while they sort it out for themselves.
As for your question, please ask a sperm bank, I would think they'd know better than anyone.

Agreed, but the overwhelming majority of FAAB people turn out to be cis-females.

Increasingly it appears the percentage of trans men in the population is the same as for trans women, and that there are actually more people than previously estimated who are, to any varied degree, transgender or gender fluid.
It makes me cringe when I hear someone say "I always wanted a son" or vice versa. It is the start of a pre determined gender straight jacket for any child. Even worse, in some countries there are people terminating pregnancies because the child isn't a boy or a girl as their wishes would dictate.

I can only tell you my personal experience.
I opted to freeze my sperm before getting on HRT. I went in for 2-3 separate times (and the last 2, I was dressed female so it was kinda funny when they didn't think I was in the right place).
They said I would probably want more than that but I was ready for HRT and there was no stopping me. I believe the initial cost was $500+ and then maintenance over the years has been ~$200/year.
I still pay this for now.....even though my husband and I do not want kids. Just in case, I guess.

No problem! Nope he's cis. But he's older and doesn't feel like it's fair to kids to have their father be in his 70s when they're grown up.
That and well we both aren't exactly kid people either. But I felt like keeping the option open is a good idea. Maybe someday I'll just stop paying the yearly fee.

I was going to say the same exact thing.
I wonder if my parents said something like "we want another daughter", and instead, they have a trans man son.
I don't think "letting them choose the gender they want to be" is the correct thing to say though, because we trans people don't choose our gender, I didn't choose to be male, it just happened to me that I was born a male in a female body. I don't know if it makes sense....
Anyway, even though trans people are a minority compared to cis people, there's always the possibility of a trans birth. I'm not interested in kids, I don't want them and my girlfriend doesn't either, but if I wanted them I would never say "I want a son or daughter", because after all, humans are humans, and gender isn't as relevant as society makes it to be.
Just saying :angel: I think we should be careful not to promote potentially cissexist ideas.
