Glad to hear everyone was accepting at your work. I have been out to my boss for a week now and she was very accepting. She actually was excited and said I KNEW IT! I have not told everyone else at my work yet but my boss and I are going to have a sit down talk with everyone. Hopefully that goes well.........
Finally getting my ears pierced was a rite of passage for me, I did it a few days after coming out and going full time at work.
Soon you won't have space for your box of boy clothes any more, because you will need all that space and more for women's shoes and fashion and stuff.
I am happy your transition and your job are not at odds with each other, and it is beautiful to see you thrive and progress so quickly.
Keep celebrating. Your self, your life, your everything.

lol... male fail. Totally reading you as ftm in that picture. >:-) Congrats! Also, that's a pretty cute haircut you've got... I think it makes you look more feminine than the wig.

Some boy clothes are useful. Mostly, they're good for getting dirty & roughed up. Some are genuinely androgynous, and work well with current fashion.

This is why I keep some of his shirts, belts and pairs of socks, and one of his leather jackets.
Congrats! My final boxing up of the male things happened last year. I was holding on to a few things and it felt good to never have them as an option any more. I kept my high school letter jacket for nostalgia sake :)
Awesome.... Hugs :-*
And that pic of you is great, I dont see any male in there, its probably your attitude, because you appear to be beaming and happy...
Im glad, I know you were in a real dark spot just recently. Lets try and stay out of those, huh?
;D
thank you so much :)
Congrats, its a wonderful day.
Getting your ears pierced seems to be a bit of a rite of passage for us m2f girls.. it seems to be a symbol of our femininity. I remember I got mine done when I accepted my female side. My ear piercing marked my route to womanhood. second set of holes done when i started hrt and 3rd set done after my vagina was installed.

 Glad I'm not the only one who thought that! Or perhaps a butch gayface. Not even a stud. Certainly ticked my gaydar. ;) Grats Archie, and welcome to male-fail.
Congrats on the new piercings :icon_chick:
Hugs
Congratulations :)
Congratulations!!! When I told a few close friends at work before I left, not one seemed surprised at the news! It was something they had suspected for along time but didn't say anything in case they were wrong. When I was ready to come out, they figured I'd tell them at that time. I apparently had left clues but then all the pieces fell into place when I told them.
All the best to you. Oh save some boy clothes. They're good for dirty yard work and the like.
Love,
Clare
Congratulations. Massive step! Long may it continue

I put all my male clothing in a big box and put them in the salvation Army box never to be in my home again
Lyndsey
thank you =)
Congrats, your doing well! ;D
When I first transitioned some 30 years ago, I had two girlfriends (cis females) over for the weekend and they bundled up all of my male clothes except some summer sports shirts and took them all down to the charity shop, whilst I was out at my beauty therapist getting my bikini line and full leg waxed. When I got back they told me they had done it. They had left one pair of mens trousers, which they ceremoniously shredded with some clothing shears that night over dinner. They then told me I to go one year of wearing only skirts and dresses before buying any jeans or pants. I think I listed about 10 months before I eventually succumbed buying a pair of skinny jeans (womens of course).
Also that weekend with the girls, Alison and Maggie took me to get my ears pierced. It really was a right of passage for me.

Congratulations. I can't wait to be where you are.
Congrats. I currently only dream of that day

Hi Girls
Womanhood is a beautiful thing! I have never in my life been so happy! The day that I unloading all the male clothing was a great experience for me. Now the only male stuff in my house is my boy friends and I won't let him keep to much of here as he can be on thin Ice at times.
Hug's Lyndsey
Congrats! It's a great feeling to know you no longer need to fall back to them, isn't it?
WTG! Keep moving forward. :)
BTW,the PIC is not showing.
The thread is a bit old and I removed the pictures from imgur as they doesnt represent me anymore hehe ;)
I took about 99% of my old boy clothes to the thrift store and only kept a few things to wear when I go visit my parents.
It's a dream come true to see a closet full of cute girly clothes and drawers full of nice lingerie! I can't thank my spouse enough for taking me on shopping trips and sharing her exquisite fashion tastes.
I keep whats left of my boy clothes in the closet.
Because irony.

I like that ;)
Congratulations on reaching this stage of growth!
But may I make a suggestion about that box?
Keep a pair or two of grubby pants and shirts then take the rest down to Goodwill. You won't be wearing the rest again. A couple of outfits is enough to keep for when you are painting your living room (or whatever dirty task is needed).
Old guy tees are good for when colouring hair too.
Very true. I make it a point to never wear girl clothes for stuff that's going to get them dirty.
In 1999 when I first started to transition in private was to get my ears pierced. When I went full time in 2008 all of my clothes that were specifically male went into the garbage because I tended to keep my clothes for years. I did keep my tee shirts and sweatshirts.

Archlord:
Oops, I guess I came too late to see your male fail. I recall mine with a curious fondness for all the travails it brought and the survival I achieved.
My best for you that your employer is so agreeable. Of course it means much work must still be done regarding others. As long as this question must be asked, then we know there is a long way to go.
I retained a few personal items that held sentimental meaning, such as gifts or representations of my life. The rest went to Goodwill and other charities.
My decisions to proceed with my form of GCS surgeries was so easy, yet I had to ponder long and hard for many years about something so simple as getting my ears pierced. Once done (1988?), I began enjoying different items. I make my own if I can't find what I want.
