Last Sept / Oct I spent USD$29k for FFS and FUE hair transplants.  This includes travel / lodging / meals and misc expenses while in Buenos Aires.  Full list of procedures here. (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,196400.msg1749000.html#msg1749000)

Wow where do I start.

This was what I paid Dr Z in February 2004.

Biplaner Brow Lift/Scalp Advancement/Temporal Fat/Lip Fat Graft/Burring to Bone - US$6000.00

No Lip fat - Deduct US$250 ( wish I had done that )

2nd Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty - US$3600.00

Anaesthesia - US$1100.00

O/R/Facility - US$1600.00

Total US$12,300.00 discounted to US$11,900.00

Back then the US Dollar was much weaker relative to £Sterling and at conversion rate $1.746 - I paid £6815.97

If I had waited to the end of 2004 when the rate was $1.94, I would have only paid £6134.82 a saving of £681.15!!

Today US$11,900.00 would cost £7986.58 at $1.49 rate ...  :o

So far then I have paid £6815.97 on the original FFS and £10,200.00 going to and from the USA for revisions !! = £17.015.97 = US$25,354.00 at today's rate of $1.49 !!!!

The NHS paid for my October 2014 revisions fortunately = £16000.00 approximately ( although not a success and a waste of NHS resources ...  :( )

So I could have been £33,015.97 = US$49,194.00 poorer !!!!!!!!!!  :o

and then there is Facial Team's cost next April still to come!!!

US$29,000.00 = £Sterling £19482.76 at today's rate.

Very good value ...  :)

Makes my £16K NHS revisions look like a fortune (which they are because of "Rip Off UK" prices )

Just found my estimate from Dr Ousterhout dated 16th October 2003

His prices were very high then as they were before he retired.

On Yahoo Group FFS Support at the time, there were many discussions that he lost a lot of money on the .com bubble and charged these prices to recoup his finances, who knows?

Scalp advance -  $3500
Forehead III - $7500
Nose - $6000
Upper Lip Reduction - $2500
Chin Feminisation/Jaw tapering - $9500
Guest House - $1250
Estimated surgery time 10 hours
Anesthesia - $2950
Operating Room -  $3375
Nursing Care - $850
Materials & Medications - $600

Total $38,025.00 which was £21783.35 Sterling at the rate of $1.746 !!!  :o

A lot of bread which I simply could not afford at the time.

Mind you my chin and jaw were well within the feminine range and still are. Dr Z said they were fine too.

With regards my jaw Dr O did admit that the body of my mandible might be satisfactory but there might be excessive bowing along the sides. If the jaw tapering was not indicated, then it would be deducted. With regards the chin, he said it was vertically high and broad and it might be slightly retruded, hence his recommendation of a feminising sliding genioplasty.

However I am so glad that this part of my face has never been operated on going by all my bad luck with surgery.

I have seen many genetic women with far more masculine chins/jaws than I have.

So where does one stop - good question eh?

Finally I am very lucky to have inherited my late mother's cheek bones which Dr O and Dr Z agreed upon.

I paid Dr Z $11,900.00 = £6815.97

Unfortunately I can't find the quote for my first set of work with Dr. O back in like 2002/3.  However, I'm fairly sure the total there is around $40,000.

I'm still getting quotes from all the docs I've been consulting with.

But I did have FUT hair transplants from the back to the front hairline to make it more rounded.

That was thankfully pretty local (3 hour drive) in Portland, OR so the cost was merely a hotel night stay and the actual cost of the procedure was about $6k.

Still a lot of money and his successor charges similar amounts.

BUT if the results are good then worth it ...  :)

Back in November 2003 I also had a quote from Dr Suporn in Thailand which was only slightly higher that Dr Zukowski's.

I then made the decision to have surgery with Dr S and was looking forward to a trip out east.

However when I e-mailed Dr Kim to book ( who was  then Dr S's patient co-ordinator) she upped the price considerably.

I was furious, so went to Dr Z.

Apparently she did this to quite a few prospective S patients and subsequently left his employ.

Also Dr Z persuaded me by saying that Dr S's patients often had runny noses post-operatively due to the setting back method.

That's funny after his damaging my left frontal sinus by breaching it during surgery.

We sure learn/suffer from our decisions even if we think that we have been fully informed beforehand and researched thoroughly.

I actually met two UK Dr Suporn patients in London before making my original decision and they looked great.

Things might now be very different if I had stuck with Dr S !!!

C'est la vie

Yeah, I had my forehead done by Suporn and it's amazing, if I'm honest. However, he charges A LOT for it. Twice that of most other surgeons. It cost me the same as my SRS with him, basically. I don't regret it, because my results were and are amazing. However, I should probably have saved the money and had full ffs somewhere else.

Yep he is good and well done on your result ...  8)

He quoted me £7500 back in 2003 = US$13,095.00 - a good price before Dr Kim upped it by nearly £1000.00 :o

Rude question how much and when did you have your FFS with him?

No need to answer if you do not wish ...  :)

13000 dollars is what just upper face cost me with him. In retrospect that is insane. Has anyone had a recent quote by him? I suppose it's probably similar cost to Dr O. Ironically a full face with Dr Suporn would still be significantly less than with Dr O, because while upper face is super expensive, the rest wasn't expensive at all. This was around half a decade ago. I only had upper face, so forehead contouring, orbital rim, brow lift, blepharoplasty, hair grafts to the temple and hairline etc. This is a set package price by Suporn.
