Title: Nice surprise on a receipt
Post by: MugwortPsychonaut on December 26, 2015, 12:47:37 PM
So I was at this tiny little corner Mexican restaurant with a friend, and it might have been the best damn Mexican food I'd ever had in my life. He's unemployed right now and strapped for cash, and for once in my life, I have a good job. So I payed for both of us. I didn't have any cash on me, and I hesitantly used my debit card. After I gave it to the waiter, I murmured to my friend that I didn't like to use my card, because it has my boy name on it and thus outs me.

A couple minutes later, I get my card back with a receipt, and my (very boy) name has "Mrs" in front of it.   :D ;D  :D ;D  :D ;D

And then this happened again a week later at a different place!

As my Jewish friend says, "mazel tof!"  (More or less, "Congratulations!")  When you're feeling anxious or vulnerable, even a small act of kindness or validation feels wonderful.
