Hi,
I'm a 39 year-old seriously considering starting a mtf transition after years of gender dysphoria. I'm currently moving from Illinois to south Texas after New Year's. Would love to meet some of "y'all" from down there on here.
Other than that, just a sensitive and intelligent person with an interest in literature, Buddhism, and recovery. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.
Jacqueline
Hi Jacqueline
Welcome to the site. I love your name :) I assume there's plenty of people from Texas on here, I'm sure you'll find them. I'm from Sydney though, not really nearby :)
Anyway, hope you find some people and resources to help you in your journey

Hi Jacqueline, welcome to Susan's. I was a lot like that too, but then jumped in and got going with my transition. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Hi Jacqueline and welcome to Susan's. What kind of literature do you read?
:)
Thanks for the warm welcome, Gennee. I work for a literary publisher, so right now I mostly read modern fiction in translation, our specialty. To give you an idea, here's a quick list of authors I really liked over the years off the top of my head: Gilbert Sorrentino, Roberto Bolaño, Graciliano Ramos, John Burroughs, Shakespeare, Laurence Sterne, Machado de Assis, and Eça de Queiroz.
