I've come out to everyone globally except for my greatest love, my 14 year old daughter. This was because my SO didn't want me to tell her sooner but as my surgery date of January 20th approaches she agreed to tell her.
I had all this anxiety and expected the worse case scenario, after all she, like so many 14 year old girls, is a self centered with a hectic social life. This evening I told her, she was just incredible in her response. " This is 2016, its not the middle ages, and we are taught to be accepting of different people and gender". I asked about her peer group at school and she responded " they are all like me, we accept people for what they are, I love you for who you are, my parent and that will never change". About me visiting her in our Phuket villa "I want you to see me whenever you want, I want you to see me in Phuket as well as Hong Kong, and Bangkok".
She said that she suspected that I was like Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner and was waiting to hear from me on this.
It brought tears of joy and I am ever so proud that she is my daughter.
Wow!
Fantastic!
Hugs

Yeah, wow!
I can only hope mine goes as well one day.
She's you child, and this can only be a reflection what kind of parent you are. Congratulations.
Congratulations! That is awesome! My daughter is 14 as well. She is aware, however, she doesn't want to see me presenting as female. May your surgery go well!
D
congrats
Congratulations, that's wonderful news!
I came out to my daughter on Christmas Eve. She is a bit older than yours (42) but she was just as accepting and wonderful. She also was not at all surprised.
Hugs, and best of wishes with your surgery.
I have only come out to one of my three teen age daughters so far. She handled it very well like yours.
As she says, "That is totally boss!", congratulations. Good luck on your next steps.
With warmth,
Joanna
