to be w/my heart ;) ;). left my heart there in july when I went 4 top sergery. ;) ;) also. more work. mroe oportunities more everythin than d.c. there aint to much crime there. it's hella bad here.
Actually, unless you've got a good education, SFO is very hard to live in, especially if you've got a family. If your singles, its OK if you don't mind renting small. But, if you don't have to pay
too much rent, your set because that's by far the biggest expense there is there. I lived in SFO from 2000 to 2003.
Your young and single so I would NOT recommend living in the south bay or the peninsula suburbs,, or the suburbs on the east bay (except maybe Berkeley and Oakland). Its all strip malls and small houses there and going out's a bitch.
The women dress better in the immediate SFO area, possibly because there's more young singles there.
The economy in the DC area has been going gangbuster for years Chris, better than the San-Francisco area (all that 2 Trillion defense must go somewhere I guess...)

I'd have to agree with you there Keira. My brother lives there and he lives with a couple of his friends while going to school there, they have a house that's $2650 a month + utilities. Another one of my friends is paying $1600 for a single room apartment heh. It's pricy over there for sure.
Say hi to all my friends over there Chris! :P
Just in case, I also have a ticker posted somewhere on this site:
