I live in western Washington, and I'm on Molina Apple Care. My goal is to start on t-blockers on February 7th. I'm seeing a therapist, I've told my pediatrician that I'm trans, and I've looked up endocrinologists. I've heard that I might need a psychological evaluation, and that nobody knows an transgender-specialized endocrinologist nearby who takes Molina, and a bunch of other stuff. Do I need the evaluation, or is that a thing of the past? Does anyone know an endo in the Olympia area who takes Molina?
I'm in Seattle. My endo uses informed consent (though I was referred by my therapist anyway). I don't know about the insurance, but I hope you find someone who takes it!
Eastside healthcare takes Molina and does Transgender care including HRT.
That's great, thanks! Do you know which doctor there does transgender care?
I am not sure which provider does. I am assuming it the one with the endocrinology as a specialty. I just got my referral for there from my GP today. It is Capitol Eastside Healthcare just to clarify. Good luck! Hopefully it works out for both of us.
I'm going to make an appointment this afternoon, thank you so much for telling me about that place!
No problem. The doctors name is Nancy.
