I'm not on testosterone, parental permission problems right now.
I'm already really flat chested so when I lay down my chest looks completely male and I'm so happy about that... But as soon as I stand up, it looks female which is really disheartening.
Are there any exercises or something to do? Sorry if I sound kind of naive, but my chest has been really bothering me lately.
EDIT: I'm not asking about binders, I'm just really upset at the way I see my chest in my reflection. I don't bind and I still get called male pronouns by people I don't know... It's just the way it looks to me isn't right and I'm having a hard time dealing with seeing my body this way. Even if I'm not that feminine to begin with, it's still there.
Welcome to Susan's Place. I am moving this to the FTM section where you will get more and better input. The guys use binding or sports bras to produce chest that looks much more masculine. I don't know all the details because there is a right way and a wrong way to do it, but the guys will be happy to fill you in on what you can purchase or how you can do it with what you may have on hand.

Unfortunately you can't spot reduce, so there aren't any exercises you could do that would technically reduce your chest. What you could do is focus on building your shoulders and pecs. That would provide a more masculine looking form, but it wouldn't make anything smaller.
Binders are what are typically worn to reduce the appearance of the chest. They are not too expensive (~$30-40) and are usually the best option if you're looking for flatness. Underworks and GC2B are the most recommended brands.
Okay, this may sound a little weird, but give it a try...you might be small enough for it to work. I did it when I was very young, like 12, but then I grew too huge for it to be successful. You will need some wide hockey tape- preferably the old fashioned white cotton type. Lay down on the floor so your chest is flat. Rip about an 8 inch piece off the roll and stick it on the breast tissue near the outside. Pull it tight underneath your arm and stretch it around your back. Use as many pieces as you need to achieve the flattened look. This is really not a long term solution, but it did work for me on occasion when I was much younger and smaller. Do not use duct tape, or packing tape, but something that breathes like cotton.
Ty Turner has made a video about this on his youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vGyCmuGUNhE
It's mostly some work out tips and it wouldn't hurt to give them a try
I've tried a lot of things over the years, but short of binding all day, nothing works. I finally decided (or rather: finally have enough money) for top surgery and I'm getting it in a few days.
