Title: Blood Test Normal But..
Post by: Lara on January 08, 2016, 09:07:10 AM
So i got my blood work done and everything seems normal yet i have lost a lot of mass that i had gained (curves, weight) so my doc has put me on these vitamins (which i haven't started yet) but 2 days ago i was horrified when i noticed the weirdest thing.. my left breast has comparatively shrunk a lot.. I had already mentioned that my boobs had shrunk but now the left one has shrunk further more. I also had this weird sensation somewhere around the upper left side of my breast like maybe the vein not sure but i woke up in the middle of the night and i had this uneasy-ness.. It was this weird sensation i dont know how to put it.. seemed internal.. i experienced shortness of breath as well.. which i experienced yet again on the road yesterday.. My doc is out of station so i haven't been able to get through to him and the doctors near my area don't exactly get any of this its more of a circus cause whenever i go there they keep bringing in their colleagues to show them "who i am"..

I'm surprised you are taking flutamide as this has been shown to be associated with liver toxicity, can cause other uncomfortable side-effects and needs to be taken at least twice daily due to short half-life VERSUS the newer and less potentially risky anti-androgen bicalutamide (Casodex) which can be taken once daily. Just read studies on men with prostate cancer and you will see for yourself.

If you continue feeling this way, you can always go to the emergency and check, just to be sure but having experienced anxiety, this can be a symptom. So who knows?!

Well that's what my doc has prescribed me from the begining it could also be that the drug yo talking about might not be available in my country.. i'll still check with him.
As for the anxiety I don't know.. I'm majorly worried about my breasts.. The left one has shrunk to an A cup while the right one is still a B.  ???

Bicalutamide is surely available in your country. Where do you live? By the way, you need to know that flutamide or bicalutamide do not REDUCE T levels, they only block T while Progynova will reduce it. If you are taking generics versus original at first, that may perhaps explain things as well. Inactive ingredients aren't the same and may sometimes make a difference. Stress also has an impact on feminization, breast growth, etc.

Has anything changed ? Change in dose or in medication received ? Like Kay said different manufacturer ?

How do you take estrogen pills ? Sublingually or oral ?

Would it be possible to spread the daily dose in a few small doses, to avoid lows ?

hugs

KayXo : Im from India. I'll have to check at the pharmacy if they have Bicalutamide.. and if stress effects feminization, breast growth wouldn't i loose growth in both of my breasts instead of just one..

Laura : Nothing has changed recently. My estrogen pills changed around october 2015 but i checked with the company its the same thing just the colour coating is different and the blue pills too are micronized just like the present white ones.. so technically nothing has changed. The manufacturer is the same and my dosage has been the same since a long time now. I take my estrogen pills orally as suggested by my doc. It says orally on the progynova box too..
And yes it can be broken down into smaller doses i did ask my doc if i could he said we could give it a shot.. so after i finish my 17th month i'll try that out.
