I've been sitting here with my referral letter for about a month now, I've been calling doctors, but they never seem to understand what i'm asking for, due to me not being able to properly explain that I've being refereed for Cross-gender HRT. I currently reside in muskegon, Michigan
So I'm Asking, what exactly do I say to the doctor/receptionist?
Im a transgender in need of HRT, please prescribe me? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
Well one option might be to tell in general where you live. Maybe someone on here knows of a Dr. In that area.

Totally forgot about that part :P
I updated the post.. sorry about that
Another thing might be to ask your therapist if they have a recommendation. If your therapist has treated lots of trans people he may know of a Dr. with experience treating trans people with HRT.

You may have looked here already but these Drs should be able to help without a lot of explanation.

(1) Ask whoever gave you the referral if they know anyone. Chances are good that they may.
(2) Call Planned Parenthood. Some locations offer HRT for both FTMs and MTFs. You would have to check with each individual location though, unless you can find information for the specific locations on the internet.
(3) Call endocrinologists in your area. I'll post what to say on the phone below.
(4) If no endos are able/willing, check with general practitioners.
(5) Look for LGBTQ resources for your area. You may have to settle for something at a state level if there's nothing locally. But look for support or activist groups. Usually they either know what resources are available, or have members that may be willing to speak to you about who they go to.
On the phone: "Hi, I recently received a referral from a therapist to begin pursuing transgender hormone replacement therapy and I'm looking for a doctor to prescribe and monitor this. Is that something the doctor at your practice does? Could you find out for me?"
Chances are they will not know immediately and will need to call you back. I would look into Planned Parenthood and any LGBTQ resources you find first before moving on to the general population.
I don't have an answer, but I thinks a good idea when posting questions like this in online forums to state your area in the title. It's generally more likely to get a response.

My Therapist did recommend some doctors from http://www.transgendermichigan.org
But either they had patients or they weren't accepting.
Thank you very much !
I did give planned parenthood a call and they seemed pretty willing to help,
~currently waiting for a call-back~
