Title: Doing the hasppy dance ;D ;D
Post by: LizK on January 12, 2016, 03:32:53 AM
I got a call from the the Psych's office who did not have an appointment for me and put me on their waiting list. I now have an appointment on the 29th Feb.  Finally I have a realistic date, the appointment I was working on for another Dr was August this year which I got August last year.

Seeing about HRT on the 9th and the Dr is happy to do everything there is to do in preparation for HRT without actually giving me the script until I have the letters I need. I was so happy when they called. I told my wife when she got home and shje was really happy that I have the appointment to get me the treatment I need.

Roll on February, and who knows maybe by April I could be right into the HRT...it seems a bit surreal that it is now all going ahead and not far away at all.

Elizabeth,

That is great! I am so happy for you. I know it will be hard to wait but the tough part is over.

With warmth,

Thanks Girls

I was a little more than shell shocked yesterday and just so happy. To now see the light at the end of the tunnel as big and bright and just about here. I had Psyched myself up for a further 8 month wait and now only have till next month. It feels a though my transition has finally got some traction and I am moving forward. I still have this underlying feeling that someone or some thing is about to "pull the rug from under me". This is just me being paranoid and has no basis in fact.

Thanks all and I will update after my Gyne appointment in a couple of weeks (3 I think)

PS: Beverly Ann...decided I may as well dance and skip my way through...so good so far :)

Thanks Denali

It was great... Such a relief to be suddenly 7 months closer to getting my letters...yay!!. Here is one benefit that came along immediately after hearing of my new appointment..... I usually get somewhere between 3 -4 hrs of sleep per night. Last night I slept for nearly 7 hrs straight which is pretty much unheard of, for more years than I care to remember.

..... This is going to sound weird I Know, but I can't think of anything in my entire life that makes me feel the way transition does, These small long awaited miles stones are significant little markers on our journeys

Happy Nervous to you
