"During a rambling interview on a Catholic TV show, monitored by Right Wing Watch, retired neurosurgeon-turned-presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson dismissed transgender civil rights as "garbage" and "silly," before repeating his warning that marriage equality could lead to the legalization of polygamy and the destruction of America. "
I can truthfully say this did not affect the chances I'd vote for him.
We are the harbingers of doom and the messengers of the apocalypse. Revel in your notoriety and power!

Spawn of the Devyl! >:-)
We didn't realize how powerful we were! Apparently we can destroy America and thereby accomplish what Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan failed to do! Isis and Al Qaeda, you guys are just pikers compared to the evil transgender hordes! Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha!
This is why Ben can't get any traction in the race, so blah - abnormal, how droll. He needs some phrase to wrap around such as Devlyn's. Got to fire up the rhetoric Ben if you're going to fire up the masses. Ben=finished.
Yaaaaay for us!!!!!!!

I find this highly ironic. I'm sure that many people dismissed the idea of giving black people greater civil rights. For this dork to say what he said is beyond absurd.
I guess we shouldn't have changed the fundamental principle that it is acceptable for one human to own another...
I for one am sick of the polygamy-bashing that is so often used as a "what next" argument against gay marriage.
Yeah, Arch, my answer is always "so?". I've been polyamorous for most of my life. I suspect it's as much a brain variation as being transgender is. I haven't practiced in years as it's a bridge too far for Sweetie. In fact I used the fact that I gave it up and can't give up being transgender as an argument for how serious this is when explaining to her.
And I REALLY hate it when bashers put polygamy and human-animal marriage or pedophilia in the same camp. Fer real?? I'm not saying that Carson does it; it's just a common tactic.
Well, I can't take this guy seriously for a number of reasons. His transphobia is just one.
I think that people who believe the pyramids were grain silos are abnormal.

I know right? I mean everyone knows that they were landing pads for alien spacecraft! ;D
I grew up with a homophobic racist father so I became sort of numb to the sheer amount of ignorance some people show. Reading articles like this just reinforces my sentiment that anyone can run for president regards of how big of a s#!+heel they are as long as they have enough money or donations and a fan base of like minded ignorants to follow them.
Quote'Abnormal' Trans People Don't Deserve 'Extra Rights'
What about 'normal' Trans People then? Will they get 'Extra Rights'?? ::)
Carson's grasp of language seems rather tenuous. And who wants 'Extra Rights' anyway? Would it not be better if these people simply stopped trying to take away rights from trans-people that cis-people are allowed to have?
As a non-Yank I find it utterly unbelievable that anyone imagines that candidates like this are suitable for high office.
