Title: Last 4 months
Post by: Siobhan on January 17, 2016, 01:46:14 AM
So I came out as transgender to my wife.  Long story short, she didn't accept it at all.  I tried to pull back on it as I didn't want to lose her, but she kept bringing it up all the time.  After all the arguments, she left me 3 months ago.  I was served with divorce papers a couple of days ago.  In the meantime, I have some counseling sessions scheduled with a gender therapist.  It's been a rough time but I'm determined to be the person I need to be.

Just wanted to hear from others that have been through a similar situation and how you coped with it.

Hugs,
Siobhan

There are plenty on the site who have had similar experiences with their spouses and partners. It's possible that the title of your thread might not attract their attention though. Might I suggest something like "Wife is divorcing me" or something similar.

Hi siobhan

I am so sorry to hear that your wife is going down the divorce rout also.I am in a simulator situation I tried everything to save my marriage to no avail. The only thing that I can tell you is stay strong and look after yourself. It is good that you have a counselor. Keep working with a counselor.

I tried to stop my divorce with everything I can,I am sitting heard broken at this stage my heart and mind is playing tricks on me the best we can do is take it day for day.

I wish you the best of luck
