Title: Waking up feeling nauseous every morning
Post by: Angélique LaCava on January 18, 2016, 11:04:08 AM
I've been on hormones for like a month and 3 weeks and a few days ago I noticed every morning I'm waking up feeling nauseas.

This is a side-effect comming directly from estrogen.  Some get it, some arent. talk about it with your doctor

You've got morning sickness.
You might want to try taking your pills at a different time of day.
It might also go away after a few months.

Have you spoken to your doctor about this?  I would.

Doing a higher dosage does not mean you'll be getting better results. You have to cater to what your body needs and says to you.  It might be that your dosage is too high and causing you to feel this way.  I would get your e levels checked.  It might also be the combination of all your HRT dosages.  You may have to play with this until you get it right.

Hope this helps.

Spironolactone can sometimes cause this if taken on an empty stomach.

Are you drinking enough water? And I have to ask this since you've posted frequently about drinking alcohol, are you drinking the night before because that could be the cause.

Keep in mind it may have nothing to do with the hormones, if it continues then you should see a doctor ASAP.

Try to talk with your doc before but a single morning dose may help out for these. When i was splitting i was sleeping like a bear ( im usualy an insomniac) but it wasnt a repairing sleep and i was nauseous at wake.

It could be a form of morning sickness, I remember when i started hormones I also felt nausea in the morning. It went away after a while i think after about 2 months.

I'm hoping that you are seeing a doctor about all this? ;D

Hormones can be a very risky thing if you don't have a doc.  Even for someone like me that has transitioned for more than 4 years.  I recently had my E bumped up, since I was feeling low and had a loss of libido too.  Hot flashes started hitting me hard. When they recently checked my "mones", they found I was at the lower end of the E spectrum.
So I suggest that you make sure your levels are in check with a doc/endo.

I'm seeing a doctor but she isn't checking my levels for another month. I'm on a very high dose so I'm sure I'm fine on that spectrum. I'm no longer feeling nauseous but I'm not getting horny that much really. I can go like a week without feeling horny but I hav my moments.

Progesterone (bio-identical) appears to help with libido in some girls.

I used to get that too but like all day. I found eating a little helped it. Saltines became my friend. I just carried some around with me.

when I switched to IM from pills the 1st 2 or 3 days after I injected I had nausea. Put 2 saltine next to your bed an eat them when you wake up. The effect went away after a month or two.
