Title: Buyer's Remorse?
Post by: WaterGirl on January 21, 2016, 05:26:52 PM
I had my first laser hair removal treatment today, and although I've dreamt about it for years, oftentimes dismissing it as a pipe dream, I find myself thinking, (after thinking HOLY SH** OUCH!) "what in the hell did you just do?" and regretful to a point. But still proud of myself, as weird as that sounds. It will sure be nice to be rid of the hair!

Hi Sweetie,

Can you elaborate a bit more?  Why are you regretful? You took a huge step, and did something you dreamed about for years. You should be proud of yourself!  You translated your hopes and desires into reality.  That is how life should be done!

With kindness,

Terri

It's one of those services you really wish you didn't have to buy but have to if you want to go beard free. Hurts the face and the bank balance, but the overall value gained is worth it many times over.

I find the pain of laser makes me very emotional. I almost broke down and felt really guilty with the thought of "OMG what would my poor parents think" Then when the shedding started a week later I felt much better.

Hi Katie.

You know I felt the same way the first session I had with laser.  Before the appointment, I was so nervous and almost got up and left.  I have to say that the Laser Tech was extremely nice, and since she had other transgender clients she was very straight forward, and explained everything.  Before my next appointment, I was not as nervous and felt no regret after or before.  So I guess it's normal :)

Well, I guess regretful because it was a permanent step. A step towards being able to be who I am, with the good and bad that comes along with!
I felt emboldened by my resolve, and today feel a little silly :) by making a mountain out of a molehill.
It's reassuring to see others have had similar feelings. I'm sure it won't be a big deal next time.
Thank you, ladies!
