I have been on Susan Place and have made many postings. Something I never shared with you all is my age. I just had my GCS, BA and FFS all done in one session on January 20th with PAI. I had Dr Sutin for GCS, Dr Sirachai did my ffs and Dr Preecha himself did my BA. There were supported by the anesthetist and 16 support staff. The surgery was filmed by Vice Media and lasted only 4.5 hours. The producer of this documentary, Joshua, told me later he was amazed at the effecient and professionalism.
Before I continue let me say that I am 67 years old. An age, I felt I need not disclose as so many of you would have been alarmed. Also at my age I have enough funds for the best care.
So, I had a bad reaction to the morphine which I expected. But the care was outstanding. When they stopped the morphine drip some 4 hours after the operation my nausea disappeared and to my amazement had zero pain and had mild oral pain pills.
I was encouraged to rise from bed at 24 hours after the surgery and had no problems. Apart from the nausea this 3 surgeries has been a walk in the park. If I at 67 can do so well ...the rest of you need not be so worried.
Today, I'm checking out of the hospital. I stayed 2 extra days simple because i can afford it. I have walked everywhere and have repeated gone to the bhuddist prayer room to thank my good fortune. My pee is straight, my pooh is now regular. My new vagina is today tingling with electricity as the nerves reunite .
I hope this will inspire others. It's never to late to be who we are. I especially thank Susan and Cindy who where there for me 24/7. I love you both.
Congratulations. I'm so happy to see you posting again.
I must admit, now anyway, that when I saw your post about all the procedures you were done at the same time I was a bit concerned (and impressed). Not sure I'd have done that. Looks like you don't live your life doing half measures.
Will the documentary be in English, or have English subtitles? I'd really like to see it.
I have and always be gungho. It's all or nothing. I look so young when I look at myself in the mirror ...have to pinch myself so that it's not a dream.
The documentary is done by the Beijing Vice Media team. They filmed my in HK. Then en 5 hour interview in Bangkok. They full. Ed the surgery and will film my coming out party in HK. It will be in English and Mandarin.
The big advantage in regards to swelling and pain is the speed of the procedure. PAI does 2 gcs a day in this hospital ... Piyavate Hospital.
Congratulations and I love the title of the post. I'm 66 and seeing and endocrinologist on March 8th but I'll have passed my 67th birthday before starting social transition. That would mean with a minimum of one year RLE, I would be 68 before I would qualify for GCS so yes you're never too old to be who you are. Thanks for that encouragement as I really do appreciate it.
congratulations. Your older than me , I'm 32( I'm lying)
You are 1 week old. You have 6 birthdays. When you were born, when you came out of the closet, when you started hormones, when you changed your name, when you went full time, and when you wake up from your Gender Correction Surgery. Not necessarily in that order :)
Hi Beverly, I will be 68 in April. I did all three surgeries ar once ....you will have no problem with just an srs. Be healthy and exercise.
Congratulations!! I've been using a similar line to the topic title as my tag line for the last few months. I am 12 years younger than you and your post gives all of us older gals in transition the inspiration to know that it is possible to become who we are.
Congrats on coming through everything well. I totally agree they we are never to old be who you are. Your story is a true inspiration to others. Hugs
Mariah
You are an inspiration Hon, and a wonderful ambassador - and more, for the community.
I think you are one of only a few people to see my boobs! (no more on that topic!!!!!)
Congratulations, have a quick recovery and the best result ever :)

Congratulations, both on your surgeries and healing, and knowing
what so many of us do: You're only as old as you feel! :)
Hugs, Devlyn
Stories like these can make my :icon_frown: mornings turn into ;D mornings.
Congratumacations on everything, maker of warlocks!
Congrats! I sometimes wonder if I will ever make it. I am 62 and my applications are in for GRS. I am considering a BA as my development has been very slow at best. Thanks for the encouragement!
