Title: Transphobic Parents
Post by: Fluttershy95 on February 01, 2016, 02:25:17 PM
Hey sometimes i think my parents are too stupid to be allowed to have children. When i outed myself as transgender to my parents the first thing they said is if i really would like to look like Lolo Ferrari. My Mother knows that i always had big problems with my own body but since i started Hrt and finally got breast growth she always says that i know look like a fat ugly man. I would love to break up contact with them but i really need there financial help.

What would you do in my situation and did your parents ever changed their opinion about your transition ?

And also sorry for my bad English ^^

Changing people takes time and it's not a sure thing they will ever change. While I didn't know it, my father never accepted what I did. My mother treated me properly but it took her years to understand that this was the way I was and it couldn't be fixed or changed. Mostly it waiting them out and showing them the better person you will become as you move through your transition.
